ForexSpace.com (LONDON) – The British pound is continuing below the key resistance at 1.5700 in the wake of data out of the U.S. showing the world’s largest economy’s inflation figures posted a decrease of the CPI and Core CPI during July. In both annual prints, a rise of 1.4 percent and 2.1% (versus +1.7 percent and 2.2 percent respectively) was recorded. Meanwhile, the NY Empire State index fell sharply to -5.85 in August from 7.39

Sterling retains its price action between 1.5660 and 1.5700 amid a turbulent session that saw the ILO unemployment rate in the UK falling to 8.0 percent in the period April-June, and the release of a positive BoE minutes.
