USD/CAD Steadies; Still On Track For Losses Jul 26 at 17:05 GMT
After a turbulent morning for the USD/CAD, the pair has now settled around the 1.0078 mark.
A morning characterised by risk-on sentiment saw the USD drop significantly against the CAD, with U.S. pending home sales data missing analyst expectations. Instead of the anticipated +0.2 percent for June, it posted a loss of 1.4 percent.
Despite some small corrections this afternoon off the back of healthier jobless claims data in the U.S., the pair has so far notched up losses of 0.79 percent. Analysts have now identified the next support at 1.0024. Resistance to the upside should be met at 1.0081, 1.0117, and finally 1.0174.
